Located in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Thai Orchid is a thriving restaurant serving explosive flavors and heightening the locals' taste buds through authentic home-style Thai cuisine.
In November, Singha – a staple for Thai cuisine in Eau Claire – closed. With a sign in the window promising to be “opening soon,” the community was left unsure of when the restaurant would reopen. Lucky for them, that time has come. On May 1, the Thai restaurant reopened under new management and a new name: Thai Orchid.
On May 1st, 2021, we celebrated Hmong Heritage Month by attending the Eau Claire Hmong Resource Day hosted by Eau Claire Area HMAA.
Carrie Cha has deep roots in the restaurant business. With relatives running several other businesses in Eau Claire, including Egg Rolls Plus and Rice Palace, she answered a familiar familial calling when she took over Thai Orchid (203 N. Barstow) in 2018.
